About the opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to help shape a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace at our Bruce Campus.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing Work Health and Safety (WHS) advice and consultation to employees and stakeholders across the University. Your expertise will support the implementation and continuous improvement of our AS/NZ 45001 accredited WHS management system, ensuring we meet and exceed legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contact for WHS matters across the University
  • Coordinate and monitor WHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Support the implementation of health and safety initiatives
  • Lead incident investigations and contribute to WHS reporting
  • Identify and deliver WHS training programs
  • Promote a safe environment for staff, students, workers, and visitors

About You:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (essential)
  • Proven experience in a similar WHS advisory role
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in incident investigation and WHS training delivery
  • Knowledge of workers compensation and rehabilitation (desirable)
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
