We're looking for skilled Support Workers to join our team and provide meaningful, capacity-building support to a mother and her young daughter living with psychosocial and developmental needs.

About the Role

You'll be providing practical and emotional support within a family home environment. The focus is on helping the mother maintain structure and routine in her daily life, while also ensuring her daughter's emotional and developmental needs are supported.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily routines, community access, and home organisation
  • Assisting with meal planning, shopping, and household management
  • Encouraging independence through skill-building and clear boundaries
  • Providing calm, consistent, and empathetic support during moments of stress or overwhelm
  • Helping maintain a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for both mother and daughter
  • Advocating for the child's needs and ensuring her routines and supports (school, therapy, etc.) remain active

This role requires someone who can balance empathy with assertiveness someone who can be firm, fair, and kind, while maintaining professionalism and healthy boundaries.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking support workers who:

  • Are confident and calm under pressure
  • Communicate clearly and follow through on commitments
  • Can maintain strong boundaries while showing compassion and respect
  • Have experience supporting individuals with Autism or psychosocial disabilities
  • Are consistent, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with a broader support team

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting individuals with Autism or psychosocial disabilities
  • Experience with capacity-building and boundary-focused support
  • Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health (higher qualifications highly regarded)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle
  • A genuine passion for empowering people to live with confidence and independence
