As we expand our reach in Cairns, we're looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers who are passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives—at home, in the community, and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking both male and female Disability Support Workers to join our growing Cairns team. You'll be providing tailored, values-driven support to clients in areas such as daily living, social and community participation, and independent living (SIL, STA, and ILO supports).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
  • Support clients to access their community, build life skills, and achieve goals.
  • Implement and follow individualised support plans.
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the wider New Era team to ensure quality and consistency of care.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 6 months experience in Disability or Community Services

Certificate III in Disability or Aged Care – desired but not required

Current First Aid & CPR certificates

NDIS Worker Screening Check & Blue Card - or willing to obtain

Current Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A genuine passion for supporting others and contributing to positive change
