About the role

We are looking for a creative and passionate team player to provide a positive, safe and supportive environment for young people aged 10 to 24 accessing Cockburn Youth Services Programs. Your role will be to support the day to day running of the Youth Centre including facilitating programs and engaging with all young people aged 10 to 24 participating in group programs and activities. There may also be the opportunity to support City of Cockburn youth programs operating in the wider community. The successful applicants will join a recruitment pool to be considered for casual hours.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in working with at risk young people, including those from Aboriginal backgrounds, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and young people living with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluation, program development and implementation for young people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current youth issues and trends.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and computer skills.
  • Experience in supervising groups of young people during activities.
  • Must have National Police Clearance, Working with Children Clearance, Drivers Licence and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
