About the Role

Swings & Roundabouts is seeking a reliable and skilled Casual Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance professional to join our team. This role offers 2–3 days per week and involves maintaining our grounds, facilities, and landscapes to the highest standard at all sites.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in landscaping and property maintenance, confident using equipment safely, and able to work both independently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform landscaping tasks: mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, planting, and maintaining gardens and lawns.
  • Carry out general maintenance and repair duties, including basic carpentry and use of power tools.
  • Operate landscaping equipment (ride-on mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) safely and effectively.
  • Assist with machinery operation (e.g. skid steer/excavator) when required.
  • Perform basic equipment servicing and ensure tools are in good working order.
  • Maintain the overall presentation, safety, and functionality of outdoor areas and facilities.
  • Work independently, managing time to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols at all times.
  • Report any issues, hazards, or improvement suggestions for improvement to management.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Current driver's license. (Manual preferred)
  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds/property maintenance.
  • Proven ability to operate landscaping tools and machinery safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality outdoor work.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying conditions.
  • Team-oriented, with a professional attitude.

Preferred:

  • ChemCert (Chemical Accreditation).
  • Skid steer and/or excavator ticket.
  • Forklift license.
  • Carpentry or general maintenance/power tool skills.
  • Plant identification and knowledge of best practice garden care.
