Grocery store team leader oversees daily operations, staff management and support in (training, scheduling, motivating), Support in inventory control (ordering, receiving, stocking), customer service (handling complaints, ensuring quality service), visual merchandising (product display, pricing), and store maintenance (cleanliness, safety, sanitation) to ensure compliance with store policies and to meet sales and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:
  • Support in Hire, train, and schedule retail staff.
  • Support in provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and performance feedback to the team.
  • Support in ensuring staff adhere to company dress codes and conduct standards.
  • Inventory and Merchandising:
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and order new products as needed.
  • Ensure products are correctly displayed, priced, and rotated on shelves.
  • Manage the receiving of new goods.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure customers receive excellent service and prompt attention.
  • Professionally handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues.
  • Maintain open communication with customers to address concerns.
  • Operations and Store Maintenance:
  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the store is clean, safe, and visually appealing.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security procedures.
  • Performance and Administration:
  • Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support in maintain accurate records, such as sales reports and inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with management to share store performance and operational issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $24.95 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
