Diesel Mechanic – Mobile Plant & Fleet Vehicles

Location: Wakerley or site

Full-Time | Varied Role | Weekend Work Available

We're looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team and take charge of maintaining and repairing our fleet of excavators, bobcats (skid steer loaders), trucks, and company vehicles. This is a hands-on, autonomous role where no two days are the same — one day you'll be out on-site fixing mobile plant, the next you'll be in the workshop (which you'll have the freedom to make your own).

What You'll Do:
  • Service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of mobile plant, trucks, and company vehicles
  • Carry out breakdown repairs on-site and scheduled maintenance in the workshop
  • Work autonomously with responsibility for keeping machines and vehicles fit for purpose
  • Support the team with weekend deliveries, assisting the Director and Fleet Coordinator when required
  • Contribute to ensuring our customers receive safe, reliable, and well-maintained equipment
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (essential)
  • Experience working on mobile plant and heavy vehicles
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the workshop and fleet care
  • Flexibility to assist with deliveries and general fleet tasks when needed
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine passion for keeping machines running at their best
