The Senior Developer is a key technical leader, leveraging their extensive experience to guide and mentor other members. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for both internal and external clients. Possessing strong technical skills and expertise in software development, they play a crucial role in ensuring our success, delivering robust and scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Develop software applications using appropriate technologies, adhering to best practices and industry standards, to meet business objectives.
- Task Management: Complete assigned tasks within agreed time frames, budgets, and quality standards, effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
- Collaboration: Confer and collaborate and lead team members and other developers to address system software problems, propose improvements, and make necessary modifications.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends and developments, proactively identifying and proposing changes that can enhance software quality, speed, and maintainability.
- Quality-Driven Development: Emphasize a focus on software quality throughout the development process, employing robust testing and best practices to ensure reliable and maintainable code.
- Complex Problem Solving: Tackle complex issues where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors, employing analytical and problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
- Stakeholder Networking: Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Mentoring and Advisory Role: Provide guidance and advice to other team members on complex matters, leveraging your expertise to elevate the team's performance.
- Leadership and Support: Offer leadership and support to developers within the team, contributing to their growth and development.
- Operational Technical Support: Provide operational technical support for products and solutions, ensuring their smooth functioning and addressing any issues that may arise.
- After-Hours Support: Be available for after-hours support for applications falling within your area of responsibility, contributing to the overall reliability and stability of the software ecosystem.
About You
- 5+ years' C# .NET experience in software development, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices within a professional discipline
- Extensive expertise in creating software solutions using modern coding frameworks, ensuring efficient and effective development processes.
- Proficient in utilising a variety of quality management methods and tools, backed by extensive experience.
- Extensive proficiency in designing comprehensive logging strategies, setting up effective alerting systems, utilising logs for troubleshooting and performance enhancement and integrating with monitoring tools.
- Extensive experience in evaluating, choosing, disseminating, and implementing software development approaches, standards and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt their communication style to different audiences and use persuasion in delivering messages convincingly.
- Experienced in guiding developer teams, providing mentorship, and enhancing the skills of fellow developers.
