Azure Identity and Access Management Engineer
/ Azure IAM Engineer / Azure B2C Engineer– Federal Government Program

We are seeking a
Senior Infrastructure Engineer (B2C Engineer)
to support a major federal government transformation program. This high-impact role will see you design and deliver secure, scalable identity and infrastructure solutions that drive greater
transparency and accountability
across Australia's digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a
B2C Engineer
, you will:

  • Design, develop, implement, and test secure solutions aligned with business requirements and software standards.
  • Provide deep systems expertise across infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
  • Define, document, and enhance automation technologies for build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Support DevOps CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to identity, authentication, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate within Agile Delivery Teams and across multi-disciplinary groups to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and consistently meet program deadlines.

Technical Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with proven expertise in:

  • Azure AD B2C
    – Designing, developing, testing, and integrating tenants, user flows, and custom policies.
  • Azure Services
    – Application Insights, Log Analytics, App Services, API Management.
  • Identity & Access Management
    – Authentication, authorization, entitlements, permissions.
  • DevOps & Version Control
    – CI/CD pipelines, Git, branching strategies.
  • Reusable Frameworks
    – Designing enterprise-level IAM service components and libraries.
  • Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Desirable

  • Relevant IT/cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ITIL and TOGAF frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth ICT frameworks.

    2 × 12 months (possible)

    Senior – EL1 equivalent
  • Location:
    Canberra, ACT (Hybrid working arrangements)
  • Clearance:
    Must be an Australian Citizen,
    NV1 Security Clearance
