ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of business-critical platforms. This role requires strong expertise across Microsoft Azure services and enterprise administration, with a focus on scalability, governance, and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Oversee the design, configuration, and management of Azure cloud environments, including the deployment and maintenance of Azure Virtual Machines (VMs).
  • Administer and manage Entra ID accounts, ensuring secure access and identity governance.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimise Microsoft Intune for device and application management across the enterprise.
  • Support and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments to provide seamless user access and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Azure policies to align with organisational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for authentication, authorisation, and directory services.
  • Oversee digital certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, and compliance with security standards.
  • Provide database administration within the Azure ecosystem, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity.

  • Proven background in engineering and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management using Entra ID and Azure AD.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune and AVD in production settings.
  • Familiarity with policy enforcement, certificate management, and database operations within Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
