A privately owned Australian investment group is seeking a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join its team in Sydney. In this role you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, control, and compliance of multiple asset entities covering inventory and fixed-asset management across a diverse portfolio of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting processes and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Maintain and improve internal control frameworks and accounting policies
  • Manage inventory, and fixed-asset registers including valuations and movements
  • Partner with farm managers and performance analysts to reconcile production and valuation data
  • Lead audit, tax, and compliance processes with external advisers
  • Support cash forecasting, funding flows, and month-end reporting
  • Develop consistent methodologies for asset registers and depreciation

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting capability
  • Experience managing inventory, fixed assets, and biological assets
  • Familiarity with asset-heavy structures (trusts, SPVs, investment vehicles)
  • Confident communicator with auditors, external accountants, and stakeholders
  • Process-minded with strong control orientation and attention to detail
