MAYDAY Recruitment is excited to be partnering with an Australian healthcare provider that offers a broad suite of services, including aged care, disability support, in-home care, and clinical staffing solutions.

We're seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to play a key support role within the P&C team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality coordination and administrative support across a wide range of human resources functions. The role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in daily HR operations, while supporting both field and administrative staff, as well as managers, across the healthcare, aged care, and disability sectors.

Key Duties

HR Enquiries & Mailbox Management

  • Monitor and action incoming JIRA tickets assigned to the People & Culture team.
  • Respond to general HR enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.

Digital Personnel File & Compliance Management

  • Maintain up-to-date digital records of employment contracts, police checks, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, and other compliance documentation.
  • Ensure employee files are complete, accurate, and compliant with retention policies.
  • Assist with the onboarding compliance process, including documentation checks.
  • Upload and label all employee documentation in the HRIS or document management system.

Contract & Correspondence Administration

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, contract variations, extension letters, and other employee correspondence based on HR team instructions.
  • Support generalist HR administration tasks as required.

Audit & Reporting Support

  • Assist with audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data integrity at all times.

Other Administrative Support

  • Support onboarding processes and general HR administrative functions across the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate records, systems, and documentation to support HR operations efficiently.

Experience

  • Previous experience in administrative HR, People & Culture coordination, or people services support.
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment law (Fair Work Act, NES).
  • Familiarity with the SCHADS Award, Nurses Award, and other sector-specific compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of administrative tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential employee information in accordance with data protection principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and digital document management systems.
  • Experience working with HR systems, ticketing platforms, or workflow management tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a national workforce.
