Junior Data Analyst – Lighting as a Service (LaaS)

Through our Lighting as a Service (LaaS) model, OES delivers full turn-key energy solutions, often with zero capital expenditure required from our clients.

The Role

Optimise Energy Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support the growth of our LaaS projects.

The role is focused on undertaking on-site audits, collecting and analysing project data, and working closely with our sales and project delivery teams to ensure our solutions are backed by accurate insights. The ideal candidate will be organised, inquisitive, and eager to develop both client-facing and analytical skills within the sustainability sector.

You will also undertake a broad range of duties in this dynamic role that include, but are not limited, to the following:

Responsibilities

·       Conduct on-site lighting and energy audits across client facilities.

·       Collect, verify, and input project data (equipment, consumption, site conditions).

·       Liaise with project engineers and sales team to align technical findings with client proposals.

·       Assist in preparing financial models, ROI calculations, and savings analysis.

·       Prepare clear and accurate audit reports for both internal and client use.

·       Support the sales process with timely, data-backed insights and handover packs.

·       Maintain strong communication with clients during the audit and pre-sales stage.

Requirements

·       Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills.

·       Confident engaging with clients and working on-site.

·       Proficiency with Excel (and willingness to learn additional data tools).

·       Strong organisational and communication skills.

·       A genuine interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and Net Zero.

Preferred

·       Previous experience in data collection, audits, or building services.

·       Exposure to lighting systems, energy efficiency, or property services.

·       Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or other analytics tools.

·       Experience in a client-facing role (sales, service, or support).
