The role:
We're looking for a Venue Manager (Front of House / Upper Management) to lead the team at our establishment in Bulimba, Brisbane. If you are familiar with our venue, this role is all about our food, drinks and providing outstanding & hospitable service to our loyal & new customers. It will suit someone who has the energy, enthusiasm and proven ability to lead a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a dynamic, high-paced, quality-focused service setting. You will have the time and opportunity to complete the non-service, managerial duties that are required once the most important things – the guests, the team and service – are taken care of. We're busiest in the evenings and on weekends and that's when we need our strongest team members in place, so please consider this when you're applying.
About you:
It's essential that you possess the following attributes:
- At least 3 years of restaurant and bar experience, including a minimum of 12 months in a senior managerial or team leadership role
- Organised, reliable, responsible, and honest
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to easily demonstrate a high level of food, beverage and service knowledge
- Leading from the front and sharing your professional skills and knowledge with your team via comprehensive training and follow-up sessions to ensure complete and consistent results
- Effective and clear communication skills with Customers, your FOH/bar team, upper management and key stake holders
- Comfortable working in a busy (sometimes very) environment and can deal calmly and professionally with guests, team members and thrive in this environment
- Familiarity with table management systems (e.g. SevenRooms), POS systems (e.g. Lightspeed), rostering systems (e.g. Deputy), compliance systems (e.g. Safe Food Pro) will be advantageous for the role
- Able to positively influence the team to drive sales, wages, and other key financial KPIs of the business
- Constructive and collaborative in your approach to work and interactions with colleagues
You will:
- Have the right to take up full-time work in Australia
- Available to work full weekends
- Have a high proficiency in computers and restaurant operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, POS Systems, Timesheet and Scheduling Systems, EFTPOS, Canva, etc
- Are able to communicate confidently and clearly in English, both spoken and written
- Hold a valid RSA
- Hold a valid clean driving licence
The following qualities will be desirable for the role, but are not essential:
- Sales background
- Training background
- Events management
- RMLV licence holder
- Tequila or wine sommelier experience or qualification
