Assistant Coach

**What are we looking for**:
We are looking for a **Junior Development Coach** to join our team on a **casual basis for 20-30 hours per week (**with the potential to be full-time). The role will be based at the Colmslie Aquatic Centre. The Colmslie squad has over 200 swimmers ranging from junior through to the national level. This position offers the successful applicant a unique opportunity to join the Rackley swimming coaching team in an organisation that is committed to developing the sport and actively supports the performance pathways.

**What the role requires**:

- Plan & Implement the program for Junior squad swimmers.
- Work closely and collaborate with the Head Coach and coaching team
- Provide a holistic approach to swimming with a strong understanding of both the physiological and psychological needs for swimmer development.
- Encourage and support the transition between Learn To Swim & Squad Program
- Assist in organising & run Club racing events
- Attend and encourage swimmers to attend club nights and promote joining the Rackley Swim team to compete in Brisbane, State and National level competitions.
- Form relationships with the community, parents and children within the centre.
- Willingness and ability to coach across all groups including Adult/Masters
- Attend local/national meets.

**Essential experience & qualifications**:

- Experience in coaching junior swimmers
- Development Coach accreditation
- Current Blue Card
- Current CPR and lifeguard
