Product Manager – Fintech Platform (Automotive Finance)

About Us

Fintorq is a fast-growing fintech reshaping how asset finance is delivered across Australia. We partner with OEMs, dealer groups, and lenders to deliver a digital-first platform that makes finance seamless for both customers and dealer partners.

As we scale, we're looking for an experienced Product Manager who's ready to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of building and refining our platform. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and industry partners to deliver market-ready solutions that transform the automotive finance experience.


The Role

This is a hands-on product role with big scope. You'll be responsible for turning ideas into working features, driving the roadmap, and making sure our platform delivers real value to customers, dealers, and lenders.

You'll balance product strategy with execution—building, shipping, and iterating quickly in a fast-moving environment.


Key Responsibilities

Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Analyse customer feedback, market trends, and partner requirements to identify opportunities.
  • Define and prioritise the product roadmap in line with company goals.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and recommend differentiating features.

Product Design & Documentation

  • Write detailed product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
  • Create or refine wireframes with designers to validate user journeys.
  • Ensure all features are aligned with compliance, finance, and industry regulations.

Execution & Delivery

  • Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • Work side-by-side with engineers to clarify requirements, answer technical questions, and unblock delivery.
  • Track progress against delivery timelines and proactively address risks or delays.
  • Conduct QA and UAT, ensuring features are tested thoroughly before release.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact between internal teams and external partners (OEMs, lenders, dealer groups).
  • Gather and consolidate partner feedback into actionable product requirements.
  • Report progress, priorities, and outcomes to senior leadership and the Board.

Product Optimisation

  • Run user testing sessions and gather structured feedback.
  • Analyse data on product performance (adoption, usage, conversion rates) and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of fintech, automotive, and SaaS best practices to guide future development.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally in fintech, automotive, or SaaS.
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, and platform architecture.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality digital products with engineering teams.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
