The Opportunity

We are seeking a Network Delivery Manager to lead the ongoing performance and improvement of NRI's network capability across Australia and New Zealand. This role is focused on optimising team performance, ensuring seamless service delivery to our clients, and maintaining high standards of network reliability, security, and scalability.

You'll work closely with technical leads, engineers, and service delivery teams to drive operational excellence, maintain strong vendor relationships, and guide the adoption of best-practice network technologies. This position will suit somebody who has been off the tools for the last 2 to 7 yrs, but has kept abreast of the latest Network Technology advancements and trends and be able to guide and mentor their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation, optimisation, and performance of national network infrastructure and services.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing network team across multiple locations.
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable network services in line with client requirements and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with service delivery, cloud, and security teams to maintain end-to-end service quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and budgets to achieve best value and continuity of service.
  • Drive the adoption of modern network technologies including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and automation tools.
  • Maintain governance and compliance with industry and security standards.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience leading or managing a network operations or engineering team within a managed services environment (MSP).
  • Strong technical foundation across:
  • Cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets)
  • Network automation (Ansible, Cisco DNA Center)
  • Firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, Check Point, Fortinet, F5)
  • Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles, security, and performance optimisation.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and lift the capability of technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent highly regarded.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Industry-recognised Network & Security Certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCNA, CCIE).
  • TOGAF certification is highly desirable.
  • AUSTRALIAN CITXIZENSHIP
