About the Role/You
RMIT is seeking a dynamic Associate Director, International Development to lead the creation and delivery of strategic offshore education partnerships. This pivotal role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution - developing market strategies, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving initiatives that expand RMIT's global footprint. You'll work closely with senior executives, influence decision-making at the highest level, and ensure partnerships deliver strong outcomes for students and the university.
Lead, Innovate, and Make an Impact
This is an opportunity for a commercially astute leader with international business development experience to make a tangible difference. You'll guide strategic priorities across multiple markets, provide commercial and risk insights, and lead a talented team of specialists. If you thrive on complex negotiations, global engagement, and turning strategy into reality, this role offers international exposure, travel opportunities, and the chance to shape the future of transnational education.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Experience communicating with executive level stakeholders in a complex organisation
Experience with the preparation of strategy documents such as business cases and market strategies for executive audiences
Experience working with other cultures in a business or academic environment
Experience managing a diverse team with varied roles and experience
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Ability to demonstrate discretion regarding sensitive financial and people information
