About the Role:
Dwelling On Design is seeking a passionate and dedicated REVIT draftsperson to join its dynamic team based in Eltham. The successful candidate will produce ALL Revit documentation for various projects, including home extensions, new builds, multi-unit developments, and a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
This is a full time position (5 days per week, totaling 40 hours). The REVIT draftsperson will work in-house alongside the drafting team and design manager to create conceptual 3D development drawings, full town planning submissions, and comprehensive construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop existing plans and create proposed concept designs in REVIT.
- Produce ALL Revit documentation for various projects, including home extensions, new builds, multi-unit developments, and a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare REVIT drawings for planning submission.
- Produce full working drawings for building permit applications.
- Conduct on-site measurements of existing dwellings.
- Collaborate closely with the design sales team.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of REVIT and practical experience in the architectural industry.
- Must have strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Building Regulations 2018, and Clause 54/55 planning requirements.
- Diploma of Building Design & Drafting or equivalent qualification in Building Design or Architecture.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the design process: concept design, town planning, responding to RFIs, and producing working drawings.
- Experience in producing town planning drawings and construction documentation.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong problem solving skills and construction knowledge
