Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as a casual Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our clients, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience at our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for promoting health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Be adaptable, able to multitask and change focus at short notice.
  • Have the initiative to identify problems and gaps in policies and procedures and work to source and implement strategies to overcome these.
  • Greet and welcome clients with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Maintain the clinic's email by responding to and following up enquiries.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the practitioner appointment calendar.
  • Assist clients with completing necessary paperwork and forms.
  • Provide information about our services, programs, and pricing.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy and organised clinic.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues or escalate as needed.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and general office support.
  • Uphold and promote the clinic's values and commitment to excellence in client care.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist/administration role (required).
  2. Understanding of allied health clinic operation and of practice management software (required).
  3. Understanding of how funding bodies such as Medicare, NDIS, private health, etc operate (required).
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  6. Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  8. Interest in health or exercise is a plus.
