Pearson Allied Health Services specialise in providing allied health services to children, young people, and adults with disabilities. Offering a flexible service, sessions can take place in our office, our therapy house, our farm or within the community. Our goal is to provide a truly person-centered service while working within a trans-disciplinary team.
**Your New Role**
Educator, you will actively build relationships by providing and responding to feedback from participants and key support networks. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively across PAHS services to build service and organisational capability to support participants to achieve their identified needs and goals.

We are seeking two allied health professionals to join our wonderful experienced clinical team both in our clinic at Morphett Vale and at our farm in Clarendon. This is a rewarding role that not only offers diversity but the ability to explore areas you are passionate in. With PAHS you will be uniquely positioned to explore both paediatric, adolescent, and adult clients. You will have access to an allied health clinical manager with over 15 years' experience in both government and private practice as well as receiving weekly supervision sessions.

A unique opening has developed within the PAHS team, if you are an animal lover, you can have a role as a clinician who provides animal assistive therapy and groups at our PAHS Farm. Previous experience working with animals is desirable for this position.
Did you know. That we are the only private practice in SA that offers therapy with both small animals, equines and Farm animals (please look at our Facebook page to see some of our animals and groups).

**Skills & Experience**
- Plan, develop and deliver a combination of individualised and group capacity building supports for people with very significant and often highly complex, therapeutic needs
- Support skills development, teaching functional life skills: including communication, social, self-care, daily living, recreation, employment, and community skills
- Create capacity building programmes for implementation
- Develop resources and innovative practices for people with disabilities whose placement or access to the community is at risk and continue to work with interagency stakeholders for long term housing options
- Identifying networking opportunities to facilitate knowledge transfer
- Ability to produce high quality participant progress reports and support plans as required by the NDIA
- Approved Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding commission
- Knowledge and clinical integration of person-centred practice
**Essential Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications that meet NDIS requirements for Developmental
Educator including but limited to: Bachelor's degree in Disability &Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathologist,Psychology or equivalent
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Current DHS Disability Employment Screening / NDIS Worker Check, DCSI
Child Related Employment Clearance and/or Working with Children Check
(or willing to acquire)
- Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certification (or be willing to obtain prior to commencing employment)
- Child Safe Environments 'Through Their Eyes' Training (or be willing to obtain prior to commencing employment)
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- You have the rights to work in Australia
- Experience in working within the Disability sector (preferable)
- Demonstrated skills to use in IT systems for documentation
