Aaron's Outdoor is a growing company that operates across Australia delivering high quality Playscapes within Childcare Centres. Due to our continued growth we are looking for an experienced and skilled landscapers to join our team and execute projects from start to finish.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and Business Owner, the ideal candidate will have previous experience as a landscaper and proven track record commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a landscaper, with playscape experience highly regarded. This is a hands on role that requires strong motivation, initiative, and excellent communication skills. As we have projects running interstate, a willingness to travel will also be viewed favourably.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a team of tradesmen to complete end to end construction of landscape projects, including but not limited to: excavation, surfacing works, carpentry, concreting, turf and rubber, planting, retaining walls, decking, pergolas and irrigation works.
  • Operating plants and machinery in a safe manner ensuring all OHS policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Assisting trades with completing high quality installations
  • Working with the team to deliver projects on time and within the budget
  • Must be available to travel interstate for projects if required

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience with hardscaping. This includes paving, stonework etc.
  • Have multi trade capabilities with or without certificates. We are interested in your experience first.
  • Be able to read and understand drawings/plans, able to build from a picture or design it yourself – we want highly capable people with diverse abilities
  • Physically fit and capable of working outside. No previous injuries that may affect work capability
  • Ability to operate a Bobcat, Excavator, Posi Track, Dingo an advantage
  • Current Working with Children check and White Card required, or willingness to get both.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Soft-fall rubber and artificial turf experience is highly regarded
  • Qualified Landscaper/Carpenter or currently working toward qualification highly regarded

About the Role:

  • Working hours are 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with overtime and weekend work available.
  • Please note the ability to travel with our teams is looked upon favourably.
  • Immediate start available
  • This position would suit a creative, solution focused structural landscaper, who is active and competent across various trades.
  • Hourly rate negotiable based on experience offering above market rates for the right candidates.
  • This is a subcontractor role, so you must have your own ABN, tools, and vehicle. For someone with the right experience and attitude, we would be open to offering a full-time position.
