About Takaynar

Takaynar designs regenerative, productive landscapes that blend beauty, ecology, and innovation. We create edible gardens, native restoration spaces, and permaculture-inspired designs that enrich communities and the planet.

We're now expanding our creative team and looking for a talented Landscape Designer or Architect who combines technical skill, plant knowledge, and project management experience.


About the Role

You'll work across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through planting plans and implementation oversight.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative design and hands-on connection with living systems.

Key details:

  • 24 hours per week, flexible across 3 days
  • Hybrid role – remote design with site visits as needed
  • Must have AutoCAD proficiency and a reliable car
  • Extremely good at managing time and prioritizing
  • Customer Service Experience a must
  • Opportunities for growth and full time roles as projects expand

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed landscape designs and planting plans in AutoCAD
  • Select, source, and arrange plants suited to site conditions
  • Manage or support project installations and maintenance planning
  • Conduct occasional site inspections and liaise with contractors
  • Communicate design intent clearly to clients and on-site teams
  • Integrate sustainable, regenerative, and water-wise principles into every project

You'll Bring

  • Qualification in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or Horticulture
  • Solid experience using AutoCAD (essential)
  • Horticultural / planting design experience
  • Strong visual and spatial design sense
  • Confidence managing site work and practical implementation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle
