Client Services Officer

We are seeking a Bachelor of Commerce/Financial Planning/Accounting graduate or student to join our award-winning team on a full-time basis.

This will be a hybrid role for the first 6-12 months. While you are learning the ropes from our senior team members, you will be fulfilling the role of our Office Concierge – a perfect opportunity for someone with great customer service skills looking to get their first role in a corporate environment.

This would be an ideal role for someone who has honed their customer service skills in retail or hospitality while studying at uni.

This is no ordinary job, you'll also get to plan and attend events and meet lots of clients face to face so you'll need to be confident, have great people skills and present really well – we will rely on your ability to make a great first impression.

Your day-to-day duties will be varied and consist of:

• Managing phone calls.

• Ensuring reception and meeting areas are always well presented.

• Offering and serving refreshments to clients and colleagues.

• Organising incoming and outgoing mail and receive all deliveries.

• Monitoring and ordering office supplies.

• Preparing for in-house and external functions, setting up rooms, ordering catering, assisting with external functions and events.

• Arranging for client recognition such as birthday cards and gifts for special occasions (purchasing, administering, and posting).

• Providing personal assistant support to the Managing Director.

In addition to these duties, you will be trained in aspects of financial planning support, with a view to transitioning to a Financial Planning Assistant role after satisfactory training and commitment to the role. This part of the job includes:

• Providing support to the financial advisors by conducting research on investment, superannuation, and insurance portfolios.

• Assessing ongoing client strategies to ensure strategic advice stays relevant to clients' goals, objectives, and personal circumstances.

• Building and maintaining professional relationships with existing clients, internal and external stakeholders, including, accountants, lawyers, finance and property brokers and other business professionals.

• Assist with implementation of adviser recommendations e.g; preparing all existing client applications; management of applications from lodgment to completion, ensuring compliance requirements are met throughout the process.

• To contribute to an excellent client experience of Empire Financial Group, demonstrating service quality, impact, and client satisfaction.

The successful candidate is required to have completed, or be working towards completing, a Financial Planning, a Commerce/Business or a related Degree with the pursuit of a successful career in Financial Advice a personal goal.
