Desk-based Building Industry Position (OFF THE TOOLS) - Gold Coast

About Us:

Established in 1993, Townsend Building Services is an award-winning, building and construction industry expert delivering projects Australia-wide. A family business, we started out as a partner to insurance companies like Alliance and Westpac, assisting clients with catastrophic repairs. In 2017 we created a new "Facilities" department to focus on retirement village projects for organisations such as Aveo, Levande, Retire Australia, Carinity, Resthaven, ECH, and Eldercare, and are doubling our revenue in this area every year.  On the back of this growth, in October 2024 we took the Facilities department and turned it into a new company called Taylor Building & Renovation Services (TBRS).

About the Role

Due to our ongoing expansion, we have one vacancy for a talented and highly driven individual with a solid background in the building and construction industry, looking to move into an office-based position, to join our Internal Estimating Team based at TBRS head office in beautiful Burleigh Heads.

Desktop Estimating at TBRS involves preparing and submitting quotes based on supplied information captured by an onsite Estimator.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Preparing quotations based on Scope of Works provided by external Estimators
• Managing time and resources to ensure timely completion and submission of all required documentation
• Communicating with external Estimators to ensure accuracy of documentation

To Be Successful in This Role You Need:

• Trade background (preferably in carpentry or joinery)
• A good understanding of building & construction.
• Confident with technology and comfortable learning new systems.
• A good understanding of pricing.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
