Established in 2013 with a team of 45+ specialists across Australia and Asia, our client is one of only three premium players in the Australian online compliance training market - trusted by the likes of ANZ, JP Morgan, Suncorp, Queensland Treasury Corp, and 700+ schools nationally.

They offer subscription access to an extensive and up-to-date library of industry-specific compliance training content (e.g. from general workplace behaviour training to specialised training in Legal, OH&S, Cyber Security, Financial Crime, Hospitality, etc.), as well as a white-labelled LMS SaaS solution and custom eLearning and consulting solutions.

Quality is their point of difference - with in-house legal, compliance, L&D and design experts working together to make mandatory compliance training as accessible, painless and enjoyable as possible for their clients and end users.

About the Opportunity

Queensland represents one of their strongest inbound lead-generating regions nationally, yet remains largely untapped with only a handful of existing accounts and no dedicated BDM presence in-market to date.

There's a genuine, ground-floor opportunity to (with the full support of the NSW head office) autonomously build and own their QLD territory from scratch.

This will see you proactively engaging with stakeholders in Compliance, L&D, HR, etc. across diverse and robust industry sectors, including: financial services, non-bank lending, pubs & clubs, mining, construction, utilities, general corporate, law firms, local government, education and more. You'll work with internal teams to deliver bespoke solutions, with typical deal values ranging from $20K to $80K ARR, up to $500K+ - with sales cycles taking anywhere from 1 to 6 months.

Success will see you ramping up in year 1, securing ~$200K-$300K net new ARR, with BDMs in other states generating $600K-$800K+ from year 2 onward.

Excellent training an ongoing support from their Sydney-based leadership team will ensure your set up to meet and exceed expectations.

About You

To be seriously considered for this role, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' outbound, client-facing, B2B sales experience in a similar, new client acquisition focused role - with similar deal values, sales cycles and stakeholder-level engagement
  • A true hunter, you thrive in high-potential, greenfield markets - able to build and maintain your own robust sales pipeline through proactive market mapping, strategic prospecting / cold outreach and consistent weekly sales activity (e.g. you're not reliant on existing networks, relationships or inbound leads)
  • A background in GRC SaaS, Compliance Training, eLearning, LMS Systems, Business Information, etc. (i.e. you understand how compliance and L&D teams operate) is advantageous but not required
  • Experience selling online subscription-based solutions (SaaS, Information Platforms, etc.) is also advantageous, with the tech-savvy to run compelling online demos a must
  • Most importantly, you're self-sufficient, accountable, entrepreneurial, driven and adaptable - able to sell into diverse sectors at multiple levels and hungry to take ownership of your next opportunity (i.e. treating it like your business within a business)
