Commence in late November 2025.The RoleThe Domestic Future Students team has exciting opportunities for current Macquarie University students wanting to develop new skills, make connections and promote the University to the next generationBeing a Student Ambassador is a rewarding experience. You will play an important role in promoting the University to a range of future students through outreach activities and will undertake the following duties/tasks:Talk to prospective students and their influencers about:your experiences at Macquarie University including your course and extra-curricular activities.your experience of making the transition to university.Provide information to prospective students on courses, study options, and pathways.Capture prospective student details (leads) at student recruitment events and activities.Deliver professional presentations (in-person and online) to a range of audiences and stakeholders (internal and external). Presentations are prepared by the Domestic Student Recruitment team and provided to Student Ambassadors.Represent Macquarie University at careers markets and expos.Conduct tours of the Macquarie University campus.Provide event support for student recruitment activities on campus and online.Assist in online initiatives including social media campaigns.Conduct telephone calling to prospective students or other stakeholders.Support the Future Students team with administrative & office tasksHandle boxes of approximately 10kg on a regular basis.Undertake general administrative duties and office support work.Drive University vehicles in a safe manner to various student recruitment events (on and off campus).To perform well in this role, you will need to be approachable, proactive, adaptable, confident in presenting to a wide range of audiences and willing to go the extra mile.Perks of the role:Attractive hourly wage.Meeting and becoming friends with students from different degrees and backgrounds.Working with and learning from experienced colleagues.Developing transferable skills that are important in any career (e.g. presenting, networking, customer service, working as part of a team)Networking opportunities and developing professional work experience.You must be available for Open Day on Saturday 15 August 2026 and training days throughout 2026.* This position requires a Working with Children Check Clearance.
