THE ROLE

The Manager, Finance and Risk leads the operation and strategic oversight of finance, including revenue and expenditure management oversight, and risk functions for Disability Homes Victoria branch. The team is responsible for managing the collection of revenues for over 800 Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes across Victoria, and managing expenditure governance and oversight for the portfolio. The team is also responsible for identifying, analysing, prioritising and treating risks relevant to the department's SDA provision, including interface with the department's risk management system.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of current best practice in financial management and services, including building an understanding of public sector budget operations and management
  • Ensure compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Standards and relevant NDIS rules and legislation particularly with respect to revenue claiming and receipts.
  • Routinely provide authoritative, expert advice to senior leadership on revenue and expenditure policy, risks, trends including options and recommendations for decision-making
