$71,420 to $83,967 per annum

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Whitsunday region offers a dynamic environment and is perfectly placed to live, work, play and invest.

Your opportunity:

Ready for an exciting challenge? The Local Laws Officer plays an important part in the delivery, coordination and implementation of Local Law activities in accordance with Council's Local Laws Acts and regulations. This position provides support and advice surrounding complaints, investigations, and instigate all necessary actions required to regulate provisions of Council's local laws.

Your skills and experience:

Essential

  • Experience in the interpretation and compliance of regulations/local laws
  • C Class Manual Drivers Licence.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a local government environment well regarded.
