About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior IT Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role can be based in our Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane office.

The IT Senior Systems Analyst will possess a strong mix of technical, process and business acumen, with a proven track record of supporting technology systems as well as translating business requirements into new technology solutions. With advanced collaboration, presentation and analytical skills, the role bridges the gap between our line of business stakeholders and our technology teams, ensuring the delivery of effective IT solutions that align with our organisation's goals. The role requires solid business partnering capabilities with some experience in IT project management to lead smaller initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the analysis of key business systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear, commercially sound and comprehensive designs and specifications for developers and IT teams
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, use cases, process flows and functional specifications
  • Support existing solutions
  • Maintain strong business partnering with key internal customers to ensure service levels are consistently maintained. Work closely with external support providers to ensure they meet their support obligations
  • Present and balance the needs for a range of key business stakeholders from operational mining staff to executive leadership, ensuring key findings and recommendations are tailored to the relevant audience
  • Monitor internal and external technology experts to ensure they are aligning and building to agreed scope, requirements, solution design and testing
  • Ability to coordinate and manage minor projects using software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) and tools including Agile and Waterfall
  • Ensure solution design of technology solutions always considers data governance and security requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a Business related field
  • Proven experience in a systems or business analyst related function
  • Excellent change management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Well-developed organisational skills and the capacity to be flexible in balancing priorities
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety systems
  • Knowledge of Operational Technologies (OT)
  • Experience in mining or an industrials related sector
