Precise Air Construction has an opportunity for an Estimator (HVAC) to join our VIC Service Team.

Reporting to the Service Manager you will:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC construction projects.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Identify and assess project risks and opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of tender submissions and bid strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements.
  • Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings as required.
  • Ensure estimates align with company standards and client expectations.
  • Assist in the handover of successful tenders to the project delivery team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.
  • Promote the company through professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Work on a variety of high-profile and technically challenging projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and installation practices.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
