Your Opportunity
Queensland Rail has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to join our SEQ team as a
Senior Metropolitan Product Planner
on a permanent fulltime basis.
As a
Senior Metropolitan Product Planner,
you will support the Manager Product Planning with the development and implementation of comprehensive Product and Corridor plans. Liaise and consult with key areas of the enterprise for continuous improvement of key artefacts, processes and governance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate as a member of the Governance and Commercial team to provide leadership with insights on key issues that assist SEQ Integration to achieve business targets, objectives, performance measures, safety responsibilities and continually seek to implement business performance improvement initiatives.
- Support the Manager Product Planning in the annual delivery of the Metropolitan Product Plan and SEQ Corridor Plans, support information gathering and analytics to deliver insights and key artefacts within agreed time frames.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive and accurate documentation that provides clear advice and direction on the development of high-quality product and corridor plans for the SEQ Line of Business which reflect organisational and functional strategies and priorities and support the achievement of Corporate Plan capital and operational expenditure targets.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Queensland Rail SEQ, Regional, Finance, corporate Services, and other enterprise business groups to influence outcomes and ensure consistency within the organisations governance frameworks, contributing to inputs for product, corridor, and other strategic planning documents.
- Take a lead role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of business-as-usual Product Planning processes and tool, working closely with the Manager Product Planning, to improve operational efficiencies in the Product planning space.

About you:
- High level of knowledge of investment planning and governance principles and their practical application within a large infrastructure business.
- High level of skill in effectively gathering, analysing, documenting, interpreting and reporting on financial and non-financial data.
- High level of interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and relationship building skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
- High level skill in developing presentations and reports to effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external.
- High level of skill in operating in a demanding and dynamic work environment
