Purpose:
The Data Engineer and Analyst is a skilled professional responsible for design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, facilitating efficient and dependable data processing, storage, and retrieval.
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data lakes/lake house
- Create and implement data models to support business requirements and data analysis needs
- Integrate data from multiple systems (internal & external) to provide a unified and consistent view of information
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance policies
- Craft a robust framework and compelling reporting assets, providing deep insights across the Loyalty program and loyalty impacts on brands
- Report on loyalty specific metrics KPIs such as member lifetime value, earn and redemption rates
- Foster collaboration with the Loyalty Team, senior leadership teams within brands and the Global Leisure data team, ensuring a seamless alignment of goals
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide solutions to maintain smooth data operations
- Support data-driven decision-making processes by ensuring data availability and accessibility
- Partner with key stakeholders to instill a performance-led, optimisation cultural shift
- Assist Loyalty and customer groups in embracing outcome-focused thinking, driving adoption of frameworks and tools
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst in a similar role
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Added Advantage if you have knowledge of the following:
- PowerBI
- Azure DevOps
- Experience with Azure cloud ETL tools
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
