Legal Assistant – Reception

About the Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the team through administrative and client-focused tasks. This job-share position offers the opportunity to develop skills across a broad range of legal and administrative responsibilities.

Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Matter management from onboarding new clients through to closure of the matter
  • Organise and maintain legal files and documents both in physical and electronic formats
  • Calendar management including scheduling and coordinating appointments
  • Client interaction, answering enquiries and providing matter updates
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails and letters
  • Provide support to solicitors as required including drafting legal documents
  • Manage clients' safe custody documents / deed packet register
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, receipt funds and attending to banking tasks as required

  • Has a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Is self-motivated and works well in a team environment
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain confidentiality and upholds ethical standards
  • Manges time efficiently and can meet deadlines

Highly regarded

  • A strong interest in working in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Experience using office or management software is a plus, but not essential
