As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager, with experience across Retail to join our dynamic team and help take our brand to the next level.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident, hands-on HR Manager to join our high-performing team in a full-time position. This is a standalone role ideal for a seasoned HR generalist who can balance strategic HR planning with day-to-day operational delivery.

Reporting directly to the COO, your in-office presence is required in our Head Office (currently Brisbane CBD) and you will be required to visit and work across our branches to support the business through core HR initiatives in compliance, employee relations, culture, and systems. Knowledge and experience in Workplace Health & Safety and Return to Work is also required. This role offers flexibility to work from multiple locations across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Logan as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the HR function – recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, compliance and projects
  • Provide practical and strategic HR advice to managers and staff on policies, procedures and best practice in compliance with workplace laws and modern awards.
  • Lead and support internal initiatives and workforce planning activities
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are up to date and compliant with legislation
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics and workforce insights
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and values-driven workplace culture
  • Support L&D and employee development opportunities
  • Monitor and manage WHS and RTW with Operations Manager and COO.
  • Coach branch managers to adopt and sustain safety behaviours and safe systems of work.
  • Support the development and delivery of safety compliance training

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in HR management or senior HR generalist roles
  • Experience across Retail is desirable
  • Qualification/ relevant certification(s) in Human Resources Management
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
  • Strong commercial acumen and practical understanding of SME environments
  • Experience with HRIS (Employment Hero or similar platforms)
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused approach with a strategic mindset
  • Maintain and optimise HRIS (Employment Hero experience desirable)
