Maintenance Carpenter – Full-Time Employee

Pine Construction & Interiors is expanding into long-term SA Housing Authority maintenance, delivering essential works under our new contract with Downer/Spotless. This is a major new venture for our company — and we're building a skilled and committed team from the ground up.

These are full-time employee positions, not ABN roles. You'll be working across Housing Trust homes in Adelaide's southern and western suburbs, completing both responsive repairs and scheduled upgrades that make a real difference to people's lives.

What You'll Do

  • General residential maintenance carpentry (doors, windows, skirtings, cupboards, gates, fences, etc.)

  • Internal fit-off works and minor flushing or plaster patching

  • External timber repairs: fascias, eaves, posts, verandahs, timber fences

  • Lock and security hardware installation

  • Basic painting and surface touch-ups (desirable)

  • Use before/after photos and job cards for tracking

  • Respectfully engage with tenants, many of whom are elderly or vulnerable

  • Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and site standards (SWMS, PPE, inductions)

What You'll Need

  • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification

  • Previous experience in residential maintenance or responsive repair work

  • A reliable vehicle (we supply the fuel card)

  • White Card (Construction Induction)

  • Current National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain – we can assist with applications) Note: If you don't have a current Police Check or Working With Children Check, we can help you get these quickly as part of onboarding.

  • Own tools suitable for maintenance

  • Strong initiative, reliability, and communication skills

  • Ability to work solo and follow instructions in a high-compliance environment
