Infrastructure Project Manager for a 6 month Contract
Your new company
Our client is within the energy sector. They are looking for a Infrastructure Project Manager for a 6 month contract.

The role will deliver ICT infrastructure projects across the Network and Storage domains.
Your new role

  • Deliver infrastructure upgrades for Core Network and Storage platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and alignment with performance benchmarks.
  • Lead the initiation and planning of the Archive and Backup project, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, and implementation roadmap.
  • Document and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
  • Identify, secure and manage all required or allocated project resources to agreed outcomes.
  • Manage approved funds and ensure monthly financial forecasts, quarterly resource forecasts and annual budgets are accurate.
  • Define scopes of work, manage the procurement of services and the subsequent contracts with external suppliers.
  • Facilitate, manage and report to relevant project governance forums including steering committees and working groups.
  • Work effectively with Project Sponsor, Project Client, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other project stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes and meet overall project objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder involvement and expectations.
  • Successful delivery of designated projects, on time, within budget and to agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure information technology change activities are in place to enable the successful deployment of project outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience delivering IT Infrastructure projects, in large, complex, geographically diverse organisations.
  • Proven capability delivering IT networking installations and upgrade projects involving enterprise-grade Cisco technologies.
  • proven capability in delivering IT storage installations and upgrade projects, involving enterprise-grade Dell technologies
  • experience assessing, initiating and implementing data archiving and backup solutions involving enterprise-grade platforms such as Data Domains/ECS, Commvault, Veeam, or Rubrik.
