We are registered builders and cabinet makers who love creating functional and inspiring spaces. Based in Stawell, near the beautiful Grampians, with a team of qualified tradies, we build kitchens, bathrooms, bedroom and homes. We are expanding into an exciting signature range of furniture and need someone to lead this expansion in the workshop. Providing a challenging and stimulating work environment, SALTWOOD is a family business with a friendly culture. We believe the strength of the team is greater than the sum of its individual members.

Purpose of Job:

To lead the workshop team in the manufacture of bespoke furniture and joinery to the highest standard.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

-   Leading the whole workshop team

-   Being responsible for productivity and quality control.

-   Manufacture of bespoke joinery and furniture from start to finish.

-   Working from drawing and spec sheets.

-   Working out own cutting lists and how the items will all go together.

-   Being responsible for manufacturing a project from start to finish.

-      Training and leading junior staff

-      Working out quantity of materials required for your project.

-      Operating workshop machinery, power tools and a range of hand tools.

-      Coordinate manufacture and dispatch of joinery items with onsite carpentry teams

-      Making sure employees are following industry health and safety guidelines

Key skills:

-   Able to lead a team and collectively deliver results.

-   Excellent attention to detail with a high level of quality.

-   Good problem-solving skills

-   Self-motivated and proactive with an enthusiastic work ethic

-   A positive can-do attitude

Qualifications:

Must have 5 years' plus experience in bespoke furniture, shopfitting or joinery manufacture.

Cabinet making or joinery qualifications.

Moziak or similar software experience a bonus

Package:

38 hour week, 7:00 – 17:00, Monday – Thursday (Yes, a four-day week)

Uniform and PPE will be provided.

Salary: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year with potential profit-sharing opportunities.
