We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our growing Data Engineering team. This is a role that combines hands-on data engineering with client data analysis project management providing APAC Time Zone Support. You will play a critical part in renovating Python-based data workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of survey-based analytical insights.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building with data and communicating with internal team members globally and locally, and is comfortable owning data analysis and Python coding deliverables end-to-end.

Specific Responsibilities Include

Technical Execution

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Python scripts for survey data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
  • Support the development of new Python-based data pipelines from legacy system during the transition phase.
  • Work with internal teams globally and locally to troubleshoot and improve data pipelines, queries, and storage logic.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance across all processing stages.
  • Assist in automating repetitive tasks and contributing to the tooling used in survey data reporting and delivery.
  • Integrate within Global Data Processing workflows as part of core company strategy
  • Leverage existing internal global processes to ensure proper documentation and communication with global engineering team

Project Engineering Management

  • Work with internal teams globally and locally to manage data engineering projects through to fruition
  • Gather, clarify, and manage internal requirements, ensuring both near-term needs and longer-term expectations (aligned with new Python-based pipeline capabilities) are met.
  • Proactively manage expectation gaps by communicating limitations and upcoming enhancements in the evolving data pipeline
  • Play a key role in shaping future Python-based data delivery solutions by analyzing client needs and feeding requirements into development planning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to swiftly execute the transition from legacy Excel-based deliverables to the new standardized delivery outputs via Python
  • Coordinate project timelines, delivery schedules, and feedback loops across internal stakeholders
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the full lifecycle of each project.
  • Coordinate tasks efficiently across a global team, managing collaboration across multiple time zones.

Please note that this role reports into a global function and is part of a non-APAC based team. As such, team meetings are often in time zones that correspond to US and EMEA based working hours. Attendance at team meetings is important.

Professional Qualifications Required

  • At least 4 years of experience coding in Python and full competency, especially for data manipulation (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience and full competency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redshift), including query performance optimization.

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and common survey data structures.
