About BHP Prominent Hill

Prominent Hill is home to a team that's more than 80% South Australian. You can build a strong mining career without leaving SA, with direct flights from Adelaide (1.5hrs) or Port Augusta (45 minutes).

Our operations uses ventilation on demand, drone technology for mapping, advanced digital planning systems, and electronic blasting equipment adapted from defence and aerospace industries.

Our technology-forward approach combines traditional mining expertise with innovative systems for safer, more efficient operations.

You'll join a collaborative team where people listen to your ideas for improvements. Safety isn't just a slogan here—it's how we look out for each other every day.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals who value curiosity, collaboration, and practical problem-solving.

Strong mentorship culture where experienced team members support new starters.

8 days on, 6 days off roster gives you a regular rhythm - focused work periods followed by extended time at home.
