Job Description Summary

Responsible for the wireless rigging activities of telecommunication sites to carrier specifications and Servicestream processes and procedures. Including Safety, Quality and Program Delivery.

- Compliance with relevant ISO 4801 Occupational Health, Safety and ISO 14001 Environment procedures.
- Provide leadership to ensure compliance to the project HSE by participating in regular audits and reviews of the system.
- Provide leadership to ensure all Servicestream HSE processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Lead and actively participate in all site HSE initiatives.
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is always maintained for all stakeholders
- Ensure all Lend Lease’s safety processes and procedures are adhered to Actively participate in all safety initiatives
- Identification, analysis and mitigation of potential risk events including establishment of risk register and initiation of corrective action when required
- Actively promote safe and environmentally responsible work practices to other employees and subcontractors and report all non-conformances and incidents.
- Liaise in advance any site-specific requirements
- Work with the field Manager on creating an efficient way to complete the tasks
- Maintain daily records of activities and times
- Work at heights on mobile phone base station structures to install antenna’s, feeders and ancillary equipment
- Installation of antenna mounts on rooftops, poles and towers using ropes, winches and rigging equipment
- Installation of cable tray
- Installation of large 3G/4G/5G outdoor Panel Antennas
- Installation of a range of feeder RF cables and hybrid.
- Terminate communication cables of various types and sizes, assist with testing cables for compliance with specifications
- Installation of earth kits and waterproofing of connectors
- Installation of earth systems
- Pits and conduit installation
- Labelling and tagging identification on feeders and tails
- Installation of Hybrid fibre cable for RRU equipment
- Installation Combiners and Mast Head Amplifier (MHA)
- Installation of GPS antenna and feeders
- Installation Microwave Antenna and Outdoor systems
- Align microwave link of to the desired Receive level (RSL).
- Complete antenna sweeps for Distance-to-Fault (DTF), Standing Wave Ratio (SWR), Return Loss (RL) for antenna system specification within its limits
- Work with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP’s as required to carry out works on site
- Carry out manual labour of various descriptions to complete the works as required
- Carry out rigging techniques to install steelwork on structures, including the requirement to climb poles, towers and masts up to 220m in height at times
- Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
- Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
- Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
- Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials.
- Inspect and maintain Plant, Tools and Equipment
- Assist Technicians with daily works
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, tidy and accessible state
- Unloading, Inspect and receipt goods for suppliers and sites
- Inspect package and loading of equipment and goods for sites
- Examine objects to be moved, estimate their size, shape and weight and decide on the type of equipment necessary to move them
- Choose or make slinging equipment and attach it to the load
- Erect Antenna System for telecom network on steel structures (lattice towers, monopoles), buildings or plants
