Our service range includes manufacturing, supplying, installing, automating, servicing and repairing automatic gates, automatic garage doors, glass doors, boom gates and automatic entry doors right across the Sydney metropolitan region and are one of Sydney's largest suppliers of automatic entry products and services.
About the role
Reporting into our Service Manager, the Door & Gate Service Technician role is responsible for ensuring the timely provision of on-site preventative and reactive breakdown repair services, to our large customer base.
Duties & responsibilities
- Emergency Repairs: Respond to client requests promptly and perform emergency repairs on automated assets to ensure they are fully operational. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
- Issue Reporting: Report any unresolved issues promptly, providing clear and detailed information to help identify the path forward. Your thorough assessments will assist in developing effective solutions.
- Site Safety: If assets are damaged beyond repair, you'll be responsible for making the site safe until replacement components are ready to be installed. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines will ensure a secure environment.
- Asset Removal and Installation: Remove existing assets, including motors and other parts, and install new assets, motors, and components. Your technical skills will be vital in ensuring seamless replacements and optimal system performance.
- Scheduled Servicing: Conduct servicing of contracted clients' assets, including routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Your proactive approach will contribute to the longevity and reliability of the systems.
- Workplace Safety and COVID-19 Guidelines: Adhere to workplace safety protocols and COVID-19 guidelines to protect yourself, colleagues, and clients during service operations. Your commitment to safety and hygiene practices is crucial.
- Positive Client Experience: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the repair and installation process. Your professionalism and effective communication will enhance customer satisfaction.
- Optional After-Hour Shifts: Take advantage of optional after-hour shifts, allowing for flexible scheduling and increased earning potential.
