Our client is a premier Australian law firm with a market leading presence across all capital cities. Reporting to several partners, the role is a mix of both litigious and advisory work for a range of government, private and commercial clients.
In this role you can expect to work on a broad mix of planning and environment matters including:
- advising on the preparation of development applications from due diligence to negotiating conditions;
- acting in Planning and Environment Court appeals and declaratory proceedings;
- preparing and negotiating infrastructure agreements;
- advisory environmental work in respect of contaminated land and environmental compliance, and litigation involving defending environmental statutory compliance action and proceedings;
- acting collaboratively across the firm on due diligence and commercial matters involving P&E issues;
- prosecuting unlawful development on behalf of local government; and
- providing general planning, environmental and compulsory acquisition advice to clients.
