About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join our growing logistics team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the smooth flow of international shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and delivering exceptional service to our clients across global markets.

You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where accuracy, initiative, and strong communication skills are essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your career in international logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate import and export shipments across sea (FCL and LCL) and air freight.
  • Manage shipment tracking, quoting, and maintenance of client portfolios.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation in compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
  • Liaise with clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
  • Troubleshoot logistics issues in real-time to maintain smooth operations and client satisfaction.
  • Utilise CargoWise One and Integrated Cargo System (ICS) to manage freight forwarding activities accurately and efficiently.
Key Skills & Attributes
  • Expert knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, trade regulations
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, crucial for accurate documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and troubleshoot logistics issues in real-time.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in freight forwarding operations (import and/or export)
  • Strong Computer Skills and Proficiency in CargoWise One and Integrated Cargo System (ICS)
  • Both Import and Export sea (FCL and LCL) and air experience is beneficial
  • Ability to manage shipment tracking, quoting, and client portfolio maintenance
  • Friendly, approachable, positive attitude
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude and willingness to take initiative
  • A background in supply chain management or relevant university studies is a plus, but not essential
