As Australia's largest independent trailer builder, Vawdrey aims to consistently improve the standard of design and quality within the country's trailer building industry.
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Welders/ Vehicle Body Builders to work at our workshop in Larapinta, QLD.
Primary responsibilities include
- Maintaining and repairing semi trailers and rigid truck bodies, including but not limited to: doors, roof sheets, roof rails etc.
- Ability to weld steel 1.6mm – 16mm ( MIG) and alloy 2 – 6mm ( MIG)
- Ability to perform curtain welding and basic auto electrical job
- Be able to conduct chassis alignment.
- Be able to read and interpret job cards, record works carried out in detailed job logs within strict timelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a smash repairs workshop
- Forklift and/or Heavy vehicle licence ( HC licence) desirable
- Basic painting skills highly desirable
- Technical Trade qualification is desirable
