Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving product management and support the MAN truck sales & after sales support through the importer Penske commercial vehicles Australia & New Zealand.

The successful candidate will work closely with our operational sales teams to define country specific product strategies and body builder strategies, provide sales support and technical guidance, and coordinate orders and project requests from the markets in the region.

In this role, you will also be responsible for collecting and assessing offers of suitable bodybuilder and selecting them for technology, quality and price, as well as supporting homologation activities and maintaining a database of technical and market data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define country specific product strategies and body builder strategies
  • Sales support and technical guidance to the operational sales teams
  • Coordinate orders and project requests from the markets in the region
  • Collect and assess offers of suitable bodybuilder and select them for technology, quality and price
  • Support homologation activities and maintain a database of technical and market data

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive
  • Extensive experience in the commercial vehicle sector with knowledge of MAN products and processes
  • Experience in product management, technical sales, homologation and Body Builder support
  • Demonstrated IT & configuration management experience
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to drive decision making and reach desired outcomes efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a small dedicated team or independently
  • Current heavy vehicle driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand
