We're working with a well-established Australian visual effects studio known for its high-quality creature and character animation across film, television, and commercials. With a growing portfolio of international work for clients such as Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount, they're currently looking for Mid/Senior 3D Animators to join their team on an immediate contract, with the possibility of extension.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a range of exciting VFX projects in a creative, collaborative environment. You'll be part of a skilled animation team, bringing creatures and characters to life through detailed and expressive animation.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in character/creature animation for film or TV
  • Advanced skills in Maya
  • Solid understanding of body mechanics, facial animation, and camera work
  • Comfortable mentoring and leading a team, while remaining hands-on
  • Organised, calm, and solution-focused under tight deadlines
  • MoCap and previs experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality keyframe and motion-capture-based animation
  • Collaborate with supervisors and creative leads to meet project goals
  • Maintain shot quotas and flag any challenges early
  • Help bring character and creature performances to life with personality and nuance
