The Builders Club are currently seeking a Full time Chefs/ Cooks who are enthusiastic, experienced, and committed team players who are focused on delivering excellent food within a fast-paced environment, whilst also using initiative to impress us with their skills and ambition.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with our menus and presentation standards.
  • Understand and prepare foods to meet dietary requirements.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining cooking utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas.
  • Participate in regular stock take and inventory control activities
  • Ensure compliance of all WHS, Food Safety and club policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Have demonstrated experience in a busy kitchen operation, including a la carte and conference and events.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, punctual and a team player.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high quality food to our guests.
  • The ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays (essential).
  • Ability to follow instructions in a prompt and efficient manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery as a minimum.
  • Proven experience as a qualified Chef, minimum 3 years preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in large commercial kitchens.
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
