We are looking for keen and committed Light Vehicle Mechanics that are wanting to kick-start their mining career in the Goldfields / Mid West of WA.

What does a Trade Upgrade with Mader look like?

  • An 18-month program, consisting of 10 weeks at TAFE in Perth and 15-month on-site learning
  • Full commitment to complete the entire 18-month program duration is required
  • Full time, Fixed-term contract

What do we look for in a Trade Upgrade Mechanic?

  • To have completed a Light Vehicle Trade (Cert III) - 6 months post trade
  • Minimum of 6 months post-trade experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic is required
  • Must hold a current and valid C Class (Car) driver's license
  • Additional high risk licenses are advantageous but not essential
  • A committed and driven attitude and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work on various sites/rosters
  • Previous exposure to heavy machinery and site experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attitude towards safety with a thorough understanding of the industry standards and expectations
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

All applicants will be required to participate in a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and national police clearance.
