About the role

Terror Twilight, a popular café in the heart of Collingwood, VIC, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Barista to join our passionate team. This part-time role (4–5 days per week) is ideal for someone looking to refine their barista skills while supporting the Head Barista and helping lead a motivated, collaborative team.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing espresso, filter, and specialty coffee to the highest standards
  • Assisting the Head Barista with daily operations and team coordination
  • Delivering warm, friendly, and efficient service to every customer
  • Supporting junior staff with training, guidance, and feedback
  • Maintaining a clean, organised workspace and following food safety guidelines
  • Assisting with general café duties including helping FOH & stock management
  • Participating in training to grow your coffee, leadership, and hospitality skills

What we're looking for

  • Previous barista or hospitality experience with solid coffee knowledge
  • A natural leader who can support and motivate a team
  • Strong customer service skills and a welcoming personality
  • Attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for hospitality and eagerness to learn
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
